Is God Real or What? – Well, Yeah. How ‘Bout That?

Is God Real or What? – Well, Yeah. How ‘Bout That?

Is God real or what?

No doubt, it’s quite a question.

I’m one of those people who likes to keep things as simple as possible and cut to the chase.

Given this, then, the simple answer to this monumental question is:  yeah.

He is.

(or she).

Some get caught up on whether or not God is a ‘he’ or a ‘she’, but the truth is it doesn’t matter as God is beyond all dualities altogether!

And now I know what you’re thinking.

Yeah, yeah, pal.

But how do YOU know?

And WHY should I be listening to you anyway?

Are you a priest or some kind of swami?

What are your credentials here?!!?!

Well, don’t worry.

I’ll answer that question too.

So without further ado, what do you say we take a deep dive down this super cosmic rabbit hole of destiny here and see what we find eh???

God IS Real (AND it Can be Proven.)

Alright so first things first.

Just so we’re all on the same page here, why don’t we agree on a clear definition of what I mean when I say God.

When I say God, I am actually taking from the ancient eastern definition for it, which is known as sat cit ananda, or consciousness, bliss, and joy absolute.

It’s kind of like God is pure, infinite awareness and unending bliss, joy, and love all wrapped into one.

That’s what sat cit ananda means anyway.

Now the thing is, I’ve experienced a bit of this myself directly.

Yes, it’s true.

But this does NOT mean I’m ‘special’ or ‘different’ or ‘unique’ or anything like that.

Honest to God I’m just a regular guy who’s interested in truth seeking.

But there are 2 ways I was able to have this experience:

  1.  I had a great desire to
  2. I was using a tried and true method for going within my self

That’s really all there is to it.

To be honest, I was practicing an ancient (and newly publicly available yogic technique), that is known as Kriya Yoga.

They say this is the fastest path to God realization.

And I have to say after having been initiated into it directly and of experiencing both this technique as well as being in the direct presence of a realized master, that this method is EXTREMELY powerful.

I mean, I was experiencing such deep, whole, and rich bliss and love that it wasn’t even funny.

It was crazy I’d meditate with this Kriya method and afterward I’d feel like I was walking on air or something.

The depths of love and being were beyond words.

In fact it felt like there was no depth or end to how much love and bliss there was.

(and there probably is no end.)

Now of course you don’t HAVE to practice Kriya Yoga to be able to go within and experience the peace joy and bliss that’s within you.

Any method will ultimately yield these results because the truth is you ARE peace love joy and bliss unending.

It’s just that Kriya is the most powerful technique I’ve ever experienced for being able to meditate and to experience the bliss that is within me.

So this is how I KNOW that happiness is within, because not only did I experience this happiness and joy that I’ve been after, but I also experienced any fear, doubt, depression, or anxiety I had completely disappear at the same time!

It was like I felt with every fiber, every atom of my being that what my soul had been seeking for so long was finally being given to me.

It’s like many times we tend to think that our dreams and fantasies about love, happiness, and fulfillment are just that:  fantasies and that we will never ACTUALLY find that bliss and magic that we’ve been longing for.

Well, I’m here to tell you that it isn’t true AT ALL.

Good news right?

The bliss magic and love IS real and it’s WITHIN YOU.

So to Find God, You’ve GOT to Go Within

Although there are many meditation techniques and many ways of going within, there really is no getting around the fact that at some point, in some form or fashion, if you want to find God, you’ve GOT to go within to some degree or another.

Now this whole idea of ‘within’ is a little bit strange, I know.

I mean it’s like, within what?

My body?

Is God in my body?

If someone cut me open and went digging around in my insides, would we find a little dude called God?

Well, no.

When mystics use the term ‘within’ they are really talking about the core of your being.

Going within the MIND.

And here the mind doesn’t mean your brain in your head.

It’s talking about something MUCH larger that actually encompasses EVERYTHING.

So we each have sort of an individual aspect of the collective mind that makes up our individual self, and so when we go within by turning our attention within and closing the eyes, our individual mind is being centered on the essence of being itself – which IS what God is incidentally.

However, because everything we are seeing around us IS also within the collective mind, the truth is (and I know this is going to sound a little strange), but the truth is there IS no ‘without’ or ‘outside’.

In other words, EVERYTHING is actually WITHIN, and the concept or idea of ‘outside’ or ‘out there’ somewhere is actually an ILLUSION.

Now I’m not trying to confuse you even more here if you’ve been having trouble following me.

I’m merely trying to illustrate that there are some methods (such as A Course in Miracles), that actually focuses on dealing with the mind via the things and people all around us in our daily lives rather than  going within for hours and hours in meditation.

Now while that might not mean much to you now, the fact is this path actually makes it a tad easier to find God WITHOUT having to disrupt our daily lives too much.

(A Course in Miracles is my main jam which is something we will be getting into later on in various forms so if you’d like to learn more about that, stay tuned!)

So in other words, if you want to find God you’ve got to start looking within your BEING.

Now What About Other Religions?  Is This ‘Going Within’ Business Just New Age Nonsense?

By now if you’ve been reading this, chances are you’re either on the side of the fence that is pretty much on the same page with everything I’ve been saying here concerning God.

OR, you’re on the other side of the fence, generally being some form of western Judeo Christian religion and you’re thinking to yourself that what I’m talking about here is nothing more than NEW AGE NONSENSE!

Generally the idea that God is within us and that we should have to meditate to find him (or her) is NOT part of the western religions, although it IS a core component of the eastern religions.

Many believe that meditation and going within is the work of the devil, but again as stated earlier, even IN the Bible itself, Jesus says clearly and directly that the kingdom of heaven is within.

Now, it could be argued that meditation is looked down upon in certain religious paths or specifically Christianity simply because it hasn’t been expressly talked about in Christianity.

But does this mean it isn’t a part of Christ’s teachings?

I mean, isn’t prayer a FORM of meditation anyway?

The truth is, the kingdom of heaven IS within you, and going within through some form of prayer and meditation is the way to begin to experience this.

It’s true that it hasn’t been stressed too much in Christianity and some other religions, but this is HOW one communes with God and loves God with all one’s mind heart soul and will.

This is how one EXPERIENCES God directly.

If you think yoga is evil or something, fine.

But what is so bad about sitting down for a few minutes with eyes closed and calming your thoughts to commune with God?

In my humble opinion, there is NOTHING wrong at all with such a practice, and if doing so actually ENHANCES one’s experience of and relationship to the divine, how could it be a problem at all?

In all honesty it’s my personal belief (and there is some evidence to support this idea), but I do believe that if the truth really IS within us, that some have attempted to PREVENT us from going within ourselves for the purposes of brainwashing and mind control to various degrees.

I mean think about it, if the divine and our connection to it IS within us, then do we really need many of these priests and pundits and overly complex religious institutions in order to find God?

I’d say the answer is no.

In fact, I’d also say that the only TRUE types of guides are simply those who lead us within our own divine temples in the first place.

Furthermore, it is my firm belief based on my own experiences as well as what the various spiritual teachers and sages have said in my life, that going within through some form of meditation is actually the HIGHWAY and common path amongst all religions and spiritual paths in order to find the divine.

I do not believe there is anything ‘new age’ about meditation at all, as first of all it’s been practiced for THOUSANDS of years and secondly the experience that one gains from going within regularly is a TIMELESS love and peace that transcends both NEW and OLD ages altogether.

So do I think meditation is new age?

Do I think you’re going to go to hell if you are a Christian and you practice meditation?

No, I do not.

In fact, I think that you can actually ENHANCE your connection to God as well as your ability to carry out Christ’s teachings in general by practicing some form of meditation.

You know, loving God with all your mind heart soul and will and loving your neighbor as yourself.

ALL of these things are made IMMENSELY easier with meditation.

So you have nothing to fear by adding a little meditation time into your life, and everything to gain!

Wrapping it Up

So as wild and crazy as it sounds, YES God is real.

More than that, the existence of God CAN be proven and directly experienced by any and all through meditation.

The truth is, we are ALL God’s children, or offspring of the Light, and we ALL have full access to the divine wellspring that exists both within and beyond us.

It’s eternal bliss.

Eternal love.

Eternal life.

Eternal consciousness and being.

Eternal fulfillment and joy.

Eternal peace and safety and security.

And as blasphemous as THIS is going to sound, ALL religions and spiritual paths ultimately lead to this experience of God.

I know, I know, this sounds like it could be MORE new age nonsense.

But really, if we are all God’s children, and we have a burning desire to know truth and to live in harmony with cosmic law, ALL of us are eventually going to get back into Heaven.

So to sum it up, if you want to find God and prove him (or her to yourself), all you need are 2 fundamental keys:

  1. A burning desire to find and know God.
  2. Using a reliable and powerful method for going within to experience the Light.

That’s really it.

Whether you are a Hindu, Buddhist, Jew, Christian, Muslim, or none of the above and are simply someone that yearns for truth, all you’ve REALLY got to do is DESIRE to know God whole heartedly and strongly.

When you desire God and pursue God, God will bring you to where you need to be in order to find him.

I promise.

I know because I did it myself.

I’ve still got some work to do on my journey, I am no sage!

But I’ve seen the water.

I’ve tasted it.

I know it’s real.

And I know where it is.

It’s within YOU!

So what are you waiting for?

Eternal joy bliss fulfillment, actually everything you’ve ever wanted and MORE is yours for the asking.

Are you ready to take the journey that ends suffering forever and yields never ending boundless love joy bliss and happiness?

All it takes is a strong desire and a willingness to succeed.

I’ve given you the basics of how to make this happen in your life.

Now the rest is up to you.

being a Christian ( Baptist ) myself I can say for sure that God is real. I think another attribute that you should add to him is that he is righteous and just. Because any god that would look the other way toward sin is not all loving.

Also I agree that you don’t need to go to church or confess your sins to a priest to go to heaven, but accept Jesus into your heart as your ordinal savior — and I think this is where meditation can come on very handy.

I think it can help you have a calm quite mind as you talk to God and Jesus..

Quick question though. How often do you meditate, and you got any tips for people just starting out that can help them?
